Model 3P5-X
Portable Pneumatic Press
The Model 3P5-X is a portable pneumatic press specifically designed for applications that require grommets that are larger than No. 4. The X is the larger, more robust version of the standard 3P5. This unit weighs 45 pounds, and measures 17-1/2” tall, 4-1/2” wide and 14” deep. Even though the 3P5-X is specifically designed for the larger grommets, it comes with an adapter set to run the standard 3P5 tools for smaller grommets (No. 0 to 4). All of the setting tools in the 3P5-X line are interchangeable, and are simply threaded in-place to facilitate fast conversions between grommet sizes. This machine is built on a sturdy welded frame and designed for safe operation, portability and ease of use.
The 3P5-X is designed to be portable or bench mounted. Several alternative configurations allow the 3P5-X to be used in the most productive manner including: (a) Pedestal Stand with optional foot pedal; (b) Mobile Base for floor work; and (c) Tool Rack with Storage Bins (configurations shown with the 3P5 unit).
The 3P5-X delivers an efficient solution to the ergonomic challenges of using a hammer or manual press to set oversized grommets. This machine is capable of punching a hole in a variety of heavy-duty industrial fabrics and setting a grommet, all in a single cycle. Certain materials, however, may require pre-punched holes, all dependent upon the material.
